Dear members,

it would be expedient to get more details about the posted images (weight, hight, if not visible - the foundry mark). It's helpful to discuss about the showing pieces.

But I'm quite sure that the lion weights above are genuine weights.
For example:
My first image show a 20 tical Chinthe weight (Mollat 2 A) with a lot of loss of material due to the decades of daily use. It's a very similar weight without major differences, same shape, same style. Without any doubt - it's genuine like Wolfgangs 20 tical lion.



My second image (Mollat Chinthe 2 A, 10 tical) is showing a smaller Chinthe weight with a disputable foundry mark (10 / 11 star ?? or 9 star with some scratches). May be there are some discussion necessary. Nearly the same shape like the second weight in Wolfgangs image above.



The third weight is a Chinthe weight with 10 tical too. But with a four star foundry mark. I believe all are genuine Burmese weights.



The bird weight (Wolfgang told me it's 19 gram) is dubios. I don't think it's original.
