Hi all, I've recently added the following weight to my collection, but don't have much information on it. So I was wondering what anybody might be able to tell me. Thanks!

I saw this weight on E-bay some time ago.
Not a normal seller.
I told him only: You are selling a nice very old (14e century) weight.
We agreed: The only very old good one on E-bay !
Expensive but good !

If genuine it is prior to 1600. What is the weight in grams? Is the tail broken?

I can now report that the weight is 288.4 grams, which accords perfectly with Gear's average 14.4 g/kyat mass of the group 5 weights. You are probably right about the tail, though if it broke it must have done so a long time ago, since there is no apparent unevenness.
