Recent I Viss T2 compared with an earlier production piece pictured in the Hartmut Mollat thread Imitations & Forgeries Against Genuine Weights which was posted back in 2011.
Aside from the issues seen in the photos the weight is 1200 grams, an impossible loss for a genuine weight to paraphase Hartmut Mollat's comment about the weight of the 2011 production piece.
Although the high quality of the patina was mentioned ref the 2011 fake, the new model appears to show advances in this area.
Similarly the issue of the acute angle of the ears (from the sides but not from the back) has been improved.
The right side of the weight is bigger than the left clearly seen in the nostrils and front legs.
Base seems unchanged. However pls notice the sharp edge of the bottom of the figure purporting to be a mint mark.
Thoughts anyone?
